When my Sister and her family came down from Brisbane to spend Christmas with us,  I had an opportunity to ride with my nephew and experience a sport I never thought of trying.

Conor started mountain bike riding a few years ago, although only started competing early 2017.  I asked Conor why he enjoys Mountain bike Enduros so much.  He replied "You get to be out in nature and experience the outdoors.... I love the thrill of flying down the trails and going fast"" 

Like many sports, there is a lot of travelling involved to compete at these events.  Thanks to the patient parents who can see the passion that Conor has in riding , he has competed at most of the events. 

While in Canberra we rode Mount Majura Pines and also the world class track at Stromlo Forest, both are fantastic tracks for the beginners and the professional riders.

Constant training on the bike after school and the regular workouts at the gym, have attributed to Conors success.  Starting the year towards the end of the field and finishing the year second in the Hiddenvale Dingo Enduro.

Thank you Conor and Mike for showing me, there is another sport out there that doesn't involve a motor.  Now it's time to upgrade my bike and get out there and enjoy the trails.
